My 91 F150 4x4,the stop bolt that gose into the pin in the carrier had broken off and left a little sticking out and the pin turned and wedged in the carrier,i need toreplace the axle bearings and seals but would it be best to just find another 8.8 with 3.54 gears w/posi instead of spending alot of money trying to fix this 8.8?

 

Ouch, your boned, that is a really tough one to get out if it breaks. Wether or not to try it all up to you and your skills at getting it out.

I say screw the lame and dangerous 8.8 and just put in a 9" but that's me.
