So I was reading thru my owner's manual, and according to it, the towing capacity for my 1997 F350 7.5L 4x4 manual SRW with 3:55's is 6,900lbs, and with the 4:10 it jumps to 10,900? Aren't there half ton trucks out now with capacities exceeding/approaching those values? I know 7,000lbs is still a lot of weight, but for a mile high truck with a big block engine, I was really surprised it wasn't rated for more.
