I just purchased a new toy hauler bumper pull. It will be just under 10k when loaded. Tongue wieght is around 1100lbs and I am using a load leveler hitch. The truck is a 1999 F250 7.3 2WD with auto trans. When loaded the truck is slightly down in the rear from level. I have purchased some air lift load lifter 5000 air bags with a on board air compressor system. Some drilling is required with this kit. I have not installed them yet. Was looking for some feed back.
Thanks
I have firestone ride-rite's on mine. they work great. Airbags can be well worth it. Also for your case I think you could also consider just using a add a leaf.
I use the AirLift 5000# bags on my 86 F250 4x4. my trailer tongue is around 750#. I have run these bags for 5 years now. I just use the standard system. Were you air them. Less problems IMHO.
Is there any ride difference in the trucks ride when not towing and the air bags deflated? I checked out the add a leaf and I dont want to change the ride or raise the truck any when not towing.
