Brake Lights

I have a 89 f250 7.3 IDI, the brake lights arent working and im getting no power to the hazard/turn signals on the RH (passenger) side. all marker/parking lights are still working. I have a schematic of the wiring and am planning to go through all of it, was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and could tell me where to start. Any help would be great, Thank you.

Maybe this is a problem with bad trailer light wiring.

Very far from an expert but I would check that you have 12v at the brake light switch and then 12v at the other side of the switch when the pedal is pressed. If that is good the signal then goes both to the RABS electronic control module and up the coulmn to the turn signal switch.
So I would check out the column wiring and the turn signal switch (need to pull the steering wheel).
just my thoughts.

Can you tell me where the rabs controller is located?

It is on top of the transmission tunnel and behind the ash tray, grouped with the speed control module (if fitted).

i would also make sure you are getting a good ground through the brake light circuit, and of course the fuse. turn signal could also be in the turn signal switch plug as there is like 13 wires in it.
