Just changed out my stock pump for one of Joey's modded pumps, anyways can i leave the truck running at idle for 5 hrs at work to let out the air or do i have to drive it around?
I have installed 2 of Joey's pumps now and I wouldn't say its a SOTP difference as much that its,a feel difference. Let me explain, after a good hard pull in 120 r the injectors would have excessive clatter with the 15° pump(held 1300 psi). After changing to a stock 17° pump (holding 1900 psi) the clatter was still moderate but quieter and shorter. Finally with Joey's modified 17* pump (holdding 3000+ psi )the clatter is nearly non existant. For the $100 and week of down time I have piece of mind that my injectors arent running out of oil.
Joey modding the pump really does bring it up, but also remember that Jim is running 'AB' injectors which use less an 'AD'. It also depends on the shape of the donor pump. For less than $100 it is a great option and probably the best IMO besides goint to duals. Joey has a new pump coming out soon that is even better than the modded pump, so don't jump to soon, you may miss the big one

Well it's either that or an Adrenaline pump for me...
jim just did mine last weekend...not too much seat of pants feel...but at lower rpms i have much more power. i dont have to down shift(6spd). mine doesnt run as strong as jims, but it is really good. we also did clays Frx and Hrx...really quieted the engine down. love the parts...thanks jim and clay

just put your truck in first gear and drive around with the rpms at 2K for about 5 minutes and that will do the trick. besides it will be alot cheaper than 5 hours worth of idling......
