Soak them with Kroil for 24 hr or so ahead of time and maybe give the heads a sharp whack with a hammer before twisting them too hard. Sometimes that will help things break loose.

We have no idea what headers you have or what vehicle you are putting them in so there's no way we can begin to guess if they'll fit or what you may have to move. Your user name suggests a '77 F-250. Is it 4x4, standard cab, etc?

Next time you go to the computer store pick up a few punctuation marks and capital letters. It looks like you've run out.

About all you can do is test fit them and then trim or alter parts as needed to make them fit. Wrap them or install a heat shield if they come very close to the starter. You are adding a lot of surface area so there will be much more heat radiated into stuff around the headers. You don't want to fry your starter. You also want to keep brake and fuel lines away. Boiling these fluids won't help at all.

You may also want to check in with the folks on the '73-'79 truck forum here.

When i have a stuck bolt, i took the torch for a good 20 sec then i poor a glass of water dirrectly on the bolt. I saw that at the garage and do the same thing. When the bolt is heat, it expand, then when it's cool down the bolt "shrink" and free up the threads.
