Ign help please!

Ok I posted this in the dent side page because I didnt even see this forum so here goes I will try to make this short,. I have a 1975 f-150 that org. came with a 302ci that had points. In the early 90's my father and brother inlaw swapped out the 302 for a 400 out of a late 70's merc. and during that swap my brother inlaw transferred over the brain box so we could keep the later model dist. Anyway that 400 has seized and I want to swap in the 400 that is in my current daily driver and keep the points (1967 galaxie .. Yes i know the 400 never came in that car) Anyhow what do I need to do in order to ride myself of all the extra wires and unneeded stuff and go back to points? A diagram might be helpful as well.

Hook the wire going to the + on the coil to the + on the coil of the new engine. The new engine should have a short wire going from the coil - to the points distributor. That's it. You can disconnect everything else on the module you don't want.
