On my '01 Silverado she has a 4.8L which has served me well since I've owned her. I've always ran Mobil 5-30 since Aug. 08 when I bought her. At 153,204 miles with only oil changes done, Where is a list of things I need to do for a complete serviceing? The plugs are A/C Delco Iridium, Bosch lifetime wires, An oil change,tire rotate and brake job are already in the works. What all do I need to do, I have a haynes but it goes from new until 100,000 plus. I got the truck at 119,XXX.
If it still has Dexcool (orange) coolant, flush it out and go back to the green stuff. As long as you are doing brakes, be sure to flush the brake fluid. Automatic trans? If so, its a 4L60E, very good unit. Just have the fluid changed by the old drop the pan method. Power flushing a trans with that many miles and unknown history is risky.
Rear axles had 75W-140 synthetic as factory fill by then, but unless you know the PO changed it at 100,000, I would do that as well. Manual trans, if you have it, should probably be serviced on the same schedule if using a synthetic synchromesh fluid.

Just done the brakes, Every pad wore different than the next and my brake fluid is pure black. However, Put a finger in it comes back clear. So to the brake shop she goes.
