I'm starting from scatch with FoMoCo and could use some feedback on what I need to be watching for.
I'm gonna start with the water pmp. The cap, rotor, plugs and some module has been replaced recently. The module had something to do with the TB I was told.
The oil pres gauge isn't working. Could the PO have disconnected it to hide a code? Motor's seems tight and pulls strong and is quiet.
I've never worked on/owned a truck with OBD, What kind of code reader do I need?
Are you changing the waterpump for a reason, or just pm? Oil pressure sender should be on side of motor. Ground the wire going to the sender and see what happens. If the needle on the dash pins, the sender is bad.
Chiltons makes an Econoline manual. OBD1 readers are cheap. Check JC Whitney or Google OBD1 readers and see what you find.

I was under the truck putting the belt on the crank and couldn't believe what I was ( or wasn't ) seeing. I can't wait to find out what else is wrong.
