Gauge question for the masses

I've been tracking down an oil leak on the rear top of the motor (remanned 6.9 w/ banks turbo added) Found the likely culprit.

The oil pressure gauge line was so loose I could turn it freely. Didn't observe it under pressure, but It seems the likely culprit. Also fixed a busted boost gauge line.

BOTH lines are for mechanical gauges. I would like to replace both tubes on the cheap. I would rather have electric gauges but due to $$ and other priorities, i cant.

I think i can buy replacement tubes pretty cheap, but is there a better alternative to the same old stuff that will eventually harden and crack easily ?

Would wire loom help them to last longer ?

thanks in advance for your advice.

from the little bit of replacement tubes that i have done they are very cheap, 4-5 bucks. i know that on my banks i can turn the oil pressure fairly easy with my hands. check your oil return lines i had a bad leak from them once as well

My local autozone sells a copper line kit to replace that plastic line for the mechanical oil press. gauge. Maybe something to look at?

I replaced my oil line with the copper kit because the cheap plastic on broke within a month of installing.

But the copper lines are very prone to cracking from vibration.

So if you go that route, secure them on both the engine and body well so they don't vibrate close to the fittings.

But you also have to leave enough slack between the engine and cab so the engine has enough room to torque over while operating.
