Clunking sensation when turning
Next, took the rear drums off to see if I broke a spring, or anything was loose. Looked good on both sides, new brakes and hardware about three months ago.
Thought maybe it's the u-joints, which were replaced about six months ago. Took the driveshaft out and everything was tight.
I have trashed transmissions in the past and it didn't feel like it was the tranny. Shifts good, only makes the clunking when I turn the truck.
It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the truck, but I can't seem to find anything.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks and have a great weekend.
If this is coming from the rear end I would suspect the spider gears. I would pull them out and have a closer look.
If it's just a single clunk or two, it could be a loose frame bracket, or radius arm bushing in the front.
