02' coolant sensor

Looking into "upgrading" to 02' f150....FX4 , 5.4.... 4x4
ran code while looking at it...came up with just one code ~ coolant sensor~...cant remember exactly which number it was, forgot to write it down, sorry

Is this hinting of the infamous head gasket issue?

the fellow that wanting to sell it says it comes on here and there, & that he had it looked into but was told not to worry about it. Also stated It has never used or lost coolant, or overheated. Drove it that way for years....etc.
or is that a easy fix...truly just a sensor and or T stat??

after a brief test drive....it didn't over heat, and didn't leave puddles...ran fine

the other thing was after starting the engine the A/c would briefly blow warm air...then start pumping ice cold air...for maybe 20sec. It that maybe just low on refrigerant?? or is that normal?

Also the compass and temp display did not work on the over head console....is that a easy fix?? or is that $299.95 remove and replace deal?coolant sensor

Just a update;
chatted with a couple of Tech's...they both didn't think it was a huge deal. Probably a sticky T stat. One fella mentioned that the head gasket issue was pretty much handled/corrected by 2000. I plan on doing a flush and replace the T stat before too long.

Agreed , having the code would be ....beneficial , to say the least...working on it
Also, the tech was not saying that head gaskets issues still don't happen or after 2000, just not nearly to the extent that they were in 97-00'. Purhaps your 01' expedition was a early build....like late in 00'? IDK

Appreciate your input though
