1995 f-150 running rough

i have a 1995 f-150 with the 5.0. i changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter, and while driving today, it seemed to hesitate when push down on throttle. then it would pick up and run fine, but check engine light would come on for a while then go off, then on again. temp, oil pressure, and fluid levels are all fine. when idleing, it will idle rough for a minute, then pick up and run smooth for a while, then rough again, then smooth again, and so forth. pulled codes and got one for the egr valve, and the map sensor. found egr valve fine, but where is the map sensor hiding on this engine? will these two being bad cause this condition?

Ford Fuel Injection Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) Should be on the firewall.

Unhappy running rough

thanks for the reply, but unless i am blind, my map sensor is not on the firewall anywhere. i have looked everywhere, and followed all vacuum lines and electrical connections and they lead to nothing close to a map sensor. the only place i cant really see is down behind motor. but i can see firewall back there, and nothing. maybe someone can send pic to me of theirs and show me where it is. i just know i cant fix what i cant find! lol thanks again

Where did you plug in the code reader? Under the hood or under the dash?

the code reader plugs in under the hood. also learned from a ford mechanic that a 1995 5.0 302 has no map sensor, but has a maf sensor.

It had a map the year prior, some in 95' & not too long afterwards, they stared using MAP & MAF, to make up for the shortcomings of each air intake monitor system's when used individually. The best of both worlds.
