i came across a 1973 4x4 w/ 102K stick-its been sitting there for 10 years. the thing is rusted real bad but thats the way i wanted it anyway but what should i offer and what are some of the things i should look for.
this would be my first gasser. the thing really has a nice stance.

being a new england truck... I would offer scrap value... maybe a couple hundred. Remember you may to have to find two or three more trucks to get all the parts you need to complete this project

I dont know about where you are at but I would check the title matched the frame or if rusted off like most of these trucks at least that door tag. I know here in Pennsylvaina licensing is a pain on these old trucks. Good luck to you and getting a truck.

hey kupice20 id offer like 2 or 3 hun if its real bad if its ok 5 or 6 but i have a 76 f250 with a 400 on propane it sat for 5 year with a wiring fire ive just got the truck a mounth ago it ran fin so you will not need to or 3 trucks to fix it ive own to 79 250 4x4 and ive fix and redone so much stuff from a junk yard it cheap and easy if you no the trucks they are fun as hell and worth fixing up

Salvage yards are a great source of parts, but these trucks are getting crushed more and more with the fluxuating scrap pricing. My local yards have maybe 5 trucks total, and they are picked apart pretty good.
Parts trucks can be had for short money!
