Thanks for the quick replies. I didn't think so.
I bought it used in 2001. They didn't work then. Didn't think much of it. I just had to replace the cruise controls because the plastic/vinyl had deteriorated with age.
The new ones didn't light up, so I thought I might have installed them wrong.

As far as I have seen they should. My 99 had them....but the bulbs were blown. Many 100k rangers/explorers have the bulbs going out (the dash ones too). When I am out in the yards only about 1 out of 5 bulbs are any good. You can put 12v power to them to test the bulbs out of the switches.
