On my 2004 F-150 (new style) the passenger seat belt will not release. What steps do I need to take to find the retractible mechanism in the back portion of the seat? Does one have to cut the fabric? I removed the head rest and the top portion where the belt rides but can't locate the retractible part.
the same thing happened to my 2010 escape......drove me crazy
but we got it fixed. well kinda; it retracts fine now BUT does not lock when pulling out hard. it was my center back seat belt. but at least we got it to slind fack/forth
Remove the seat and then the backrest for access, but to the second reply please tell me you don't let your kids or grandkids ride in that seat if it doesn't lock under load.
