Cruis Control does not work.
The Switch has been mod'd.
The one fuse is good and the Relay is good.
After checking the Switch Mod for working and continuity, how do I test the Switches in the Steering wheel without blowing the Air Bag?
Any other places to look?
1. Make sure the connector on the top of your master cylinder is securely connected. This is the cruise control brake switch and the cruise will not work if it is not plugged in correctly.
2. Check the connection between the throttle body and the cruise servo cable. These have been known to slip off over time and cause the cruise control not to work.
To check the connection:
-Remove the plastic throttle body cover that says Triton 4.6L. (I think its three or four 13mm or 14mm bolts)
-On the passenger side of the throttle body, you should see two cables that resemble bicycle brake cables that connect to the side of the throttle body.
-The cruise control cable is farthest away from the throttle body and it has a little plastic "slip bead" on it that allows the cable to pull in but not push out. If it is not connected to the throttle body, you should be able to snap it back where it goes. (It should be fairly obvious)
Hope that helps,
-Chas
