Damp passenger floor area.
While working on the blend door on my `04 Taurus I noticed that the passenger side floor mat was damp clear up to where the A/C lines come through the firewall. I'm guessing it's a clogged condensor drain but I guess it could also be a clogged cowl drain too. I haven't had a chance to get undr the car and check the drains yet but what should I look for and where should I look?

In addition to what you've already mentioned, other possibilities are heater core leak and windshield leak. Whatever it is, I hope it's the cheapest and easiest to fix. I've heard some heater cores are nightmares to replace.

Maybe a passenger was looking at the "girls & cars" thread a little too long? 
Seriously, though, I wouldd also suspect a drainage clog. I think an actual leak would produce a bit more moisture, staining and an odor of the offending fluid.
