i have been looking at the bronco graveyard leveling kit with the new 2" coils and camber bushings......anybody have any experience with them? any suggestions?
just had the truck repainted and put all good chrome back on it. the only problem is the back sits about 3" higher then the front.....sooo my plan is to drop the block out of the rear and put a leveling kit on the truck
PITA but doable, i put a 2" spacer lift in my 91 f-150 the stock camber bushings were rusted in BOTH sides, had to pop the knuckles off and work hard to get those stock busings out. This led to me replaceing balljoints just cause i was in there already i figured what the heck. I installed a 2.5 degree camber bushing and the wheels are still sticking out on the top slightly... could not get it 100% aligned to stock specs but damn close... Levels out the truck tho.... Im happy but took a little longer than expected!!!
Id say do it just have a few extra bucks around for alignment and possible other parts up there,
I work at a tire shop and I actually do these bushing alignments on a regular basis. If you're using hand tools, yeah getting the old bushings out is a pain. It's best to use an air hammer if you have access to one, and when you get the old one out, take some emery cloth and just clean off the surface rust inside the knuckle, it'll make adjusting it a lot easier.
Also, yes it is a great time to replace the balljoints, if you already have the knuckle off, you can have em pressed out and in for about $40, otherwise, its just more hammering.
