1996 powerstroke

hey got question looking at an add for 96 290,000 miles the guy say they high presure oil resovor keeps draing down causeing it not to start wants 3500.00 4 door long bed one ton 4x4 what causes this is it easy fix good price?

Those HPOP's can be expensive to purchase. I would talk him down big time. 290,000 miles and a bad HPOP. I would find myself offering a lot less because of that. Other then that, if the reat of the truck is acceptable, it may be a very good find for the right price!

sorry im dumb on the power stroke stiil stuck in idi diesel. what is the hpop's is it hard to replace?

HPOP= High pressure oil system. They are not hard to replace but aren't exactly cheap.

Here's my thought on that truck, with 290,000 and he doesn't want to replace the HPOP to get it running right, i think other things might also be wrong with it. I might venture to say if hes too cheap to fix this before selling, he was too cheap to maintain it those 290,000 miles. Just a thought.
