Different truck
I'm thinking about getting rid of my F150 already just don't have enough to tow the way I do. Any advice on this one?

Beautiful truck...pretty low mileage for an '04 too. Since you're thinking of getting it to tow, you should find out if the gears have been swapped because it's not going to tow very well with stock gears and 40" tires.

Mods have 2 markets:
A) those who really want nearly exactly the truck modded -- pay a premium.
B) or the mods either command zero value or negative.
In either case, a modded truck is a much thinner market.
So transacted prices can be way above or below "fair" price.
My immediate thought:
Is there much competition for your buying this?
How desperate is the seller?
If your answer is no and yes, then I would offer $12,000.
That is roughly the value of the truck - unmodded and in good shape --- assuming the mods have some value to you.
Would the mods preclude or require expensive rework to pass whatever safety inspection is required to transfer title?

WAY over priced. Beautiful truck but not even close price wise. Will have to do a little to it to tow comfortably...

Come to think of it, I bet you could not even find a bank to give you a $35,000 loan for an '04.

...that's about what a non-HD SD went for in '04. And that's brand spanking new with both the 36m/36k chassis & 5yr/100k engine warranties. I'd pass on the truck because (A) that way out of line for price on a 7 year old truck and (B) you can't convince me that truck is going to be able to pull like you'd like it to. It might for a while...but if you don't re-gear it your going to be shopping for a reman tranny/replacement pretty dang soon. It's your money...but if it was me I'd look for something allot closer to reasonable in the price range.
