Hey, my steering wheel leather started falling apart as I only hold it with one hand in the same spot all the time, so I cut out the bad leather and wrapped it with Camo colored Duck brand tape. Well once that color wears of that it looks pretty cheesy, so I was wondering where I could find a cheap preferably new replacement? Is the dealership the only place to go or is their a website deal? BTW has Cruise Control.
What year are you dealing with? If you want a new one you'll probably have to go ford or an aftermarket with the cruise option. Your most affordable option would be the junk yard. Never know, might find a good low mile wreck..hehe
Look in JC Whitney or at a local parts shop for somthing called "catskin." It's a new do it yourself leather wrap for your steering wheel. They look real nice, but they are a bit pricey, I thought, around 40 bucks if I remember correctly. This may be easier than switching complete steering wheels.
Just go to Walmart and get one of those rubber steering wheel covers.... My steering wheel started getting crappy and I just slapped one of them on for like $20... Works just fine for me.
