If you're using a wireless service for streaming, you'd better be aware of any limits on your data package, the size of the downloads, and any overage fees.
I read this post and checked with sprint. I was 4 days in to the new cycle and 100 bucks over my usage. I cancelled the WiFi card and went to *** high speed internet yesterday. I am now saving 20 bucks a month.
I thought that my WiFi card was unlimited... I was wrong as usual. Thanks for helping me out.
Interesting that so many of you use Netflix. We've been using Blockbuster by mail for a couple or 3 years and no complaints at all. We never stream, and we never return or rent at a store. Just by mail only. A couple of times a disk has been lost in the mail, or in their warehouse maybe, and I just advise them via the website and they cross it off the list. Zero issues.
Even if I did rent movies (I usually see them when they are in the theater and would prefer buying over renting anyway), I wouldn't use Netflix simply because of their intrusive internet advertising. Even though I have pop ups and pop unders blocked on my computer, their pop under ads frequently get through. I fail to understand why vendors think intrusive ads are going to win customers over. Yet, they do it. I have no problems with advertisements. They pay the bills and actually serve a useful purpose; they inform people of new or improved products and services. I do look at the ads, if it's something I would be interested in. But when vendors ram the ad down my throat, they lose me. Loud, obnoxious TV/radio commercials (like the late Billy Mays or some car dealers) also will turn me off a vendor.
I have been using Netflix for a year or so, at 1 disk at a time. No complaints on the streaming, but recently my laptop decided to stop playing DVDs. I understand that is not their fault, but still.
The best thing that i can say about them, is it doesnt matter what time of day, or night i get on, there is always something that i havent seen.

I find it amazing that the wireless companies can advertise "unlimited internet" when, in fact, it is capped and get away with it because of a very obscure disclaimer (I have to get six inches from the screen of my 32" TV to see the disclaimer Cricket has). 5GB caps are useless for anything but emails and casual browsing.
