Just as an update to this thread. I went and looked at the truck.
It sold just a couple days ago. Apparently, three people wanted it and got into a bidding war over the thing. I didn't ask the guy at the lot how much they sold it for.
Not nearly as nice as it appeared to be in the listing. Lots of scratches, dings, etc..stuff that might be pricey to fix because of the special paint. Also on that mismatched wheel - it was indeed the spare, the other tire was in the bed of the truck with a blown sidewall. I CAN verify it was stock, though, had hardly been touched except a chrome exhaust tip.
This "dealer" is actually an asset recovery solution company, and they basically sell re-possessed vehicles for .50 cents on the dollar, and they had a lot of nice powerstrokes. He had a billion questions for me about big red and kept me there for a good 15 minutes, and had a good laugh when he asked me why I wanted to replace it, and I told him I didn't, that if I were to buy that platinum I'd have two trucks.
Could be a good place to go, any of you out there lurking on the forums who are from the Denver area and shopping...
