I need to know how much I can tow before I get to the point of breaking things far from home. Right now I only have a trailer that would get me up to 24,000 gcw, but I am thinging of getting a GN.
In that case I might get as heavy as 34,000, limited by pin weight.
I think I'll be ok with the 24K stock other than pyro, true duels, pump up a flat and soup bowl. If I get a GN I will most likly get ARP head studs and a WG turbo running 12 PSI or so.
Whats the weak point?
90 f250 flat bed with rebuilt 6.9, ZF5 and open diff 3.55s.
weak point i would say gearing and no turbo for pulling that weight i would want lower gears.i would also carry extra u-joints just in case....i always carry extra parts even if i had a brand new vehicle i would carry spare stuff that can be used for roadside repairs
