I Got One, Too!!

Took delivery of my F-250 4x4 crew cab Lariat on Tuesday. Sweet driving truck, I must say, although I did drive a couple before buying. It's just different when it's yours. Not a bad deal, $200 over invoice minus $2500 in rebates plus they threw in a Ford bed mat, about $110 worth I think. I could have driven 250 miles and got a better deal around Houston but this was close enough to what I was willing to pay. Can't wait to get a few miles on it to see how it tows compared to my '04 6.0, and I look forward to trying out the locking diff in the wet spots around the farm.

My only major disappointment is the re-design of the rear seat storage. They did away with the fold out floor. Man, that sure was a large handy space to put stuff during inclement weather without having to load another bed toolbox just to keep things dry. Maybe there will be an aftermarket mod that removes the storage boxes and replaces it with something similar to the old fold-out floor. I'll post again with towing and mileage results after a little break-in period.

With all these guys getting their new rigs, doesn't it make you feel like the kid in line waiting to get picked for football? Was especially hard when I saw KPER5's in the same color as the one I ordered...

Today is supposed to be my build day!

I also hung in there after my 04 6.0 and I'm glad I did.

Agree on the rear seat storage, really liked flipping the seats and keeping the dogs off the seats with lots of floor room. How difficult would it have been for Ford to design the tools box below the seats together just pop out by twisting a couple of clips when you wanted to remove it. That would've been sweet! After market anyone listening?
