So, im in the middle of a turbo rebuild along with a few other mods and I wanted to pick yalls brains.
When i pulled the compressor housing off and finally got all of the oil residue off of it I noticed that there are a lot of casting marks left on the compressor backing plate. Is there any reason to / need to polish this out?
Not sure that it would make any difference performance wise, but it just looks ugly...
Very true, piece of mind is good though!
Im honestly a little appalled at the fact that they took the time to polish the housing (at least most of it) but didnt bother with the backing plate.
