Well I got a 79 F150 with 302, 30 over, 278 crane cam, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Edelbrock 600 carb. My only complaint is I wish I had something done to the heads or used different pistons to bring the compression up to better suit the cam. Maybe shoulda put in a stall speed conveter also. Reason is, take off is pretty slow. After you get going though and nail it away you go. The rear end has 3.00 gears, also prolly part of the problem. It gets 16mpg and I had it clocked at 120mph.
