1987 460 help with MSD coil

1987 460 help with MSD coil
i just got this msd coil and it said i need a resistor. my question is my truck looks like it already has a resistor of some kind on it.(pic) do i still need to buy one?

today i put it in and didn't have any problems. it seems to start faster, before anytime i start it it would take 2-3 sec. now it starts on the first hit of the key. but its probably my imagination.

The 1987 has a resistor wire built into the harness.
Anytime you see the clip on coil cover like in your pic it will have a resistor if it is still has factory wiring.
The DSII system gives full voltage while cranking, and 7.5 V +/- in run.
