Plenum Inserts
I bought these from Clay a while back and just got around to installing them. Riffraff Diesel: RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts™
The intake system has pretty stout T-bolt and constant torque clamps at all connections untill you get to the bottom of the spider. The 4 clamps there are so wimpy, they could barely hold a radiator hose let alone 25+ psi of boost. They have to be wimpy or they would crush the plenums. These inserts will fix that probem so you can use the stout clamps.
One of my plenums was distorted enough to make it difficult to get the insert started in. Once started the tap easily into place. I reistalled the spider useing constant torque hose clamps and then did a boost leak test. I found a couple of clamps that I had not even touched leaking, tightened those and life is good again. The hole job took a couple of hours taking my time.
I highly recommend these even if your truck is bone stock.
Sorry I was not able to document this procedure with photos. My camera was in the bedroom with my sleeping wife. I did not want to risk death to get it.
