Thanks Barry. I never got interested in mechanicing or any type work on vehicles, just always loved to drive them. Now that I spend all my spare time out there in the shop, sure wish I had learned something during all those years. The old saying is you never get to old to learn something. I really enjoy every minute I am out there. I know that when I finish this project it will not be perfect, but I will be pleased that I will have something that the grand sons can remember me by. If it just left a tape line and not pull the paint off, it was probably the solvents from the new paint getting trapped under the tape and leaving a 'cloudy' line. You could have buffed it out instead of repainting.
barry not only did it leave a line it also left adhesive from the tape and a rough texture so it all had to come off i'll get back on it one of these mornings am working on the hood right now BID + though i got the master cyl. on and all of the brk. lines hooked up now just need a spear person to help bleed them
HEY MISSISSIPPI, HOW Y'ALL ARE??? Karen and I are gonna throw a GTG here at our Place in Kentwood sometime in September, don't know the exact date yet, and it's a little early, but just wanted to let y'all know, BBQ, BS, Swim, Cold Adult beverages, just hang out and talk trucks. I'll give y'all a firm date as it gets closer!!
Thanks Barry. I think it turned out pretty good for a first timer. In fact it pleased me so much that I have removed the primer I had put on the front fenders and going to spray them so everything will match. Sorry, will have to wait until I can get my Granddaughter over here to take a pic and then I will try to post it. Have a nice day. Harley
Happy Fathers Day to all Y'all, Karen treated me to Breakfast at Ihop and then the cowboy movie "Jonah Hex" we had a great time, and that is one great movie!!
