I have removed my dash several times and it is very easy but the first time is nerve racking as you envision snapping off some plastic piece and costing you a fortune to replace the entire dash it snaps right off but sounds terrible but no damage so far..Good Luck

Well first time was when I replaced my stock radio/cd player with aftermarket, then second time to send unit back for replacement then third time when squirrel got under dash and chewed wires had to repair . Now the valve controlling heater /defroster valve is slow so will be pulling it again soon....Oh just a thought don't forget you have to pull ***** off before removing dash...
I could pull the old radio but to install the new one had to pull the dash, my hands are large and needed the extra room. As for the squirrel they were way to friendly I assume they have been hand fed and one got in I'm thinking while I was unhooking the 5th wheel. Cost me $500 and insurance company over $2000.
When you remove the dash, be very careful that you do not lose any of those little plastic attaching clips. Some of them fall off easily when the panel is removed and Ford doesn't sell them individually. You gotta buy the whole danged panel!!!!
