2009 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 Lariat, purchased new in July of 2009
Took into shop Sep'09 for what felt like jumping, constant gear changing sporadically, jerking:
First trip to shop - nothing wrong with the truck, give it some time to learn your driving habits. Kept it two days.
Took back in November with same issue:
Second Trip to shop - your Scorpion tires are out of balance. Kept it for 2 days
Took back in January for same issue:
Third trip to shop - need to update the computer/etc
Took back two weeks ago for same issue and now the truck will not downshift at times when having to pull into traffic (think on-ramp situations) and almost gets me run over, not to mention some nice hand gestures from other drivers:
Fourth trip to shop - forced the manager to drive the truck with me in the vehicle. Clearly he could tell the tranny was not shifting properly. Kept truck 3 days, I called every day and they said they are "getting to it". By the evening of the 3rd day, they said they had other trucks on the lift and it would be another two days before they could get to my truck. Based on my personal/professional situations, I could not wait that long and had to reschedule for another time when I am able to leave the vehicle there (2 weeks from now).
For those of you having tranny problems, I know it is cumbersome but stay after them. Will keep everyone posted on the outcome.
sounds like you need to find a new dealer. You are not required to use the same dealer that you bought truck from in order to obtain service/warranty work.

Absolutely correct. What some people don't realize is that even though the service and sales are in the same building they are two totally different entities. In just about every respect, including how things are handled at that dealership. You might have a great sales place, but horrible service and vice versa. Luckily though I have found a place that has both, but that is far far far from the norm.
Go to bbb.org and download and fill out the lemon law paper work. This will 1) wake the dealer up 2) get you your money back.
x2 on that
once you file the case, you will get a case # and a packet to fill out. the Dealership & Ford will recieve a notification.
I suggest after you file the case, call up Ford at the 1-800 # in the front of your Owners Manual and kindly inform them of the issue.
you will get a result. I had to do this to force Ford Corporate to step in and help me with a paint issue on my Expy that the Dealership was 1/2-assing.
Thanks folks. I'm going to take it in one last time at the end of the month when I get back from vacation and biz travel. They say they will get right to it. I'll go the BBB route if things do not improve after this last attempt.
