Wow, seems like there are alot of people opposed to marrige. I understand what everyone is saying. I have no plans to go out and get married tommorow. Trust me the earliest I can see us getting married is in like 2 years. That would put us out of school for a year, and we would both be about 25-26. But that does not mean a person cant think about it and do a little planning.

Just like cars, for everyone who has had a bad experience, there are people out there who have had good experiences too.

I don't mean to sound discouraging at all.
We were very much in love when we got married.
It was great, for a while.

12 years down that road, the honeymoon was over and neither of us were happy with each other (or ourselves) anymore.

10 years after the split I am finally coming around to the idea of it again.
This time with a woman I've already known for 15 years.
We have no secrets, and hopefully no illusions.
I don't know that we will get married, or just live in sin, but I do know I'd like to share my life with her.

Or you could just ignore the cynical individual writing this post.
Or have good attorneys.

I've been married and divorced twice. I filed on both of them and took EVERYTHING both times. Never gave up a dime.

Dang, Jim.....you just dashed MY dreams of a happy ever after...

Really, I am not totally opposed to marriage.....just not all fond of it at the moment.....

Paul and I have a very unique relationship......we are committed to each other, and I know we couldnt improve on it with a piece of paper that says we can live together legally......

we also share rings, to show our committment to one another.....

Paul wears one in his left ear, and I wear the other in my left ear.....

our 'rings' have 7 small diamonds in it and has the appearance of a 1/2 carrot diamond......the stone in the center is for his daughter...and the six surrounding her are for my six (birth) children.....

it is unique and has meaning.....

still cannot believe you dashed my dreams, Jim

To get married because you are in love is as dumb as getting divorced because you no longer are.

I'd prefer to live in "sin" it just adds on to all the other sins I commit so it's no big deal lol.

I have some QZ's I can sell you on the cheap.

Maybe the perspective...
You're used to looking at someone wearing it on their left ring finger.
(sorry for the dirty lens on my iPhone)

The correct procedure -

First you start with the engagement ring.

Second is the wedding ring.

Then you will have the suffering.

Job well done !
