I haven't bolted them on yet, but the holes from the the brackets off my 302 all line up with the new 351 I'm slowly but surely swapping in. Gotta get the threaded inserts for the front smog ports before I can button up everything...

Both motors use the same heads and timing cover and those are the two parts that the accessory brackets bolt to. But... the 5.8 block is taller and wider so these holes will be a little further apart on the 5.8. However the truck accessory brackets that I have seen have a pair of holes to allow them to mount on either engine, I know I used the same brackets on my 5.0 and 5.8 EFI motors, but I can't say for certainty that the brackets for earlier engines will be the same.

When I made the change from a 302 to a 351W some years ago, I found that the PS
mount was the same because it bolted to the front cover and block. I had to change the alternator bracket to one from a 351W because it bolted to one of the heads which
are spaced wider apart on a 351W as was mentioned in an above post. I removed the
air conditioning system on mine when I made the change and I think if you have to deal
with the AC mount it would probably be different from a 302 to a 351W.

Are you running v belts or serpentine? I am running the complete serpentine bracket set up from an 89 f-150 with a 351. If you do not have serpentine you need to switch your waterpump. You need a 28 oz harmonic for the 351. If your 302 is b4 you probably have the 50 oz.

You should be able to get the little extra pieces needed from the junkyard fairly cheap. As conanski said, it is wider and taller, but not by much. Mostly from what I have seen, any bracket from the waterpump to your alt, steering pump, and a/c would fall a little short of matching up. The serpentine stuff from the 89 truck bolts to the heads and not the waterpump. I can put up some pics if it helps.
