Truck Sadness......

Well My memorial day was going good.....put my exhaust on and was ready to take it out for a test drive to see how it sounds.....well I was going to pick my buddy up down the street (4 Blocks) and wouldnt you know it....some girl with her permit came out of a stop sign and hit me in the LH side Well my truck took a good amount of damage for hitting a little Civic.....The front hub is busted a chunk is out of my rim...my Fender got bent back to the door so now it makes that awful noise when you open and shut it....and a nice big long scratch down the side.....man was I upset..... But I must say this.....my damage isnt nothing compared to her's....I took the whole front bumper off, bracket and all. So I do love my ford now just a little bit more

Here are some pics......The one with the wheel I circled the damage on it...there is also a slight piece out of the sidewall but not enough for it to leak.....and that scratch goes all the way to the rear tire

If it's a good chunk, and not just a sliver of a piece, you'll get two new front tires from her insurance.

A good chunk means structural integrity has been compromised. And since insurance won't replace one front tire, you'll get two new ones because of the damage.

Sucks, sorry man. Will her insurance company pay up? I hope she was'nt an uninsured motorist. Maybee a good time to do a 05/06 front clip.

From your description it sounded like things were tore up pretty good, but the pics just show a few scratches!

Did they total the Civic?

Glad no one was hurt. Hope you get it fixed quickly and back to work!

Yea Im not sure if the structural integrety is compromised because the tire is still holding air but then again the integrity could be and i just dont know it yet

From what I understand they should pay up because she was at fault, but she was also driving her grandma's car so I dont know how that will work out. And as for the 05/06 front clip....i would love to but I dont think the insurance company would go for it.

On my truck that is the extent of the damage...mostly to the fender and tire.....the civic I dont believe they will total it but I know it will need a new front bumper bracket and probably a bumper....i dont know about anything else on her car

Justin that just sucks. Glad to see that you are okay and the grandmother's insurance should cover the damage.
