That is a great article.
My mom does something similar. She and other military women volunteers attend funerals and ceremonies in the uniform they served in. She is out today doing a couple of ceremonies. The women are of all ages. This is my mom.

She was stationed in paris where she met my dad who was an M.P. in the army. She wanted to be career military but married my dad instead. Quite a few years later the world unraveled when all 9 pounds 11 ounces of me was born.

She loved Paris and has always wanted to return.
Well I hope she does one day. With your father of course. Jeez dude, you sure were some fatass baby. Her uniform should have some sort of ribbon for that!

I have tears in my eyes from laughing. I think that was the only time that I weighed more than my brother. He is 3 years older but has always had me by 100 pounds.
Not to get of subject. I think that what those ladies in Arlington and the ladies with my mother are doing a great service for the armed services. They attend all branches and are made up by different branches and ages.

Well then your mom shouldn't have only a ribbon but a full commission for birthing your brother!
But seriously, give her a hug for me next time you see her. Wish there were more like her. She is lovely and you can tell her I said so. But don't tell her you've been posting her picture on the internet for perv's like me to see!
Hi, I'm Kyle's mother. I had no idea he was doing this nor any idea that he was so proud of what I do. The group of which I'm a member is Women Veterans of Louisiana. Our primary function is to serve as honor guard at military women's funerals no matter what branch they served. We've done nearly 40 in two years. We have all ages from 20's to 90's, and from every war since WWII. We also act as support to active duty women and participate in deployment or return functions for military units. We are basically a ministrey rather than
an official organization. What we do is from our hearts and our pride for military women everywhere.
Thank you, Son, for your support and all your friends pleasing comments.
Thanks for what you're doing, Kyle's mom.......My own mother is with Decedent Affairs at the Salisbury VA, and it's heartbreaking sometimes at the number of vets who are indigent....or who don't have any known family.......
It's a great thing you guys (er....ahem.....LADIES....) do.
