Billet Grill's

OK fellas, so I went back and reviewed posts concerning "Billett Grills" and the discussion seemed to be about Roush and Harley Grills with the Lariet grill thrown in. It would appear that they are 8mm grills (bar spacing) and I'm looking at an after market 4mm grill. More bars, tighter spacing. Any one have that type? I'm wondering if I would have cooling problems.

By the way Tylus, you are correct. In my prievios post concerning the Hypertech programer, I typed wrong, my head was else where, the engine in my F150 SC is indeed 5.4, the 5.7 is my service vehicle (Chev). But the programer (2 by the way) was ordered for the 5.4, only it dont work that way. In as much as the programer was ordered from the same shop that I will be getting my grill from, I'll expect him to take care of it.

I run a vertical billet and have had it about 4 years with no cooling issues at all...

SCRWDRVR, from the photo of your truck I'm unable to discern if your Billett Grille is 4 or 8 mm. It appears that the 4mm Grille has more, smaller bars, with the possibilty of less space between the bars, thus less air flow.

Thank you. The vertical grille is much like the Linclon pickups. It looks "cool". I think I'm going to order the horizantal billett grille. It's like the original "over lay" grille I destroyed in an altercation with a Humvee.
