I know some of ya'll are getting tired of my questions, but here's another one. On my 95 F150 302 auto could the harmonic balancer have slipped enough to cause timing issues in turn causing my truck to run rich sometimes. I checked timing last week and the mark on the balancer is on the bottom and no where near where it needs to be. If I replace the balancer could this correct the problem. Thanks for the patience and help
I don't know if it does have a crank sensor or not, I replaced an oil sending unit it when I first got it and it needed a special socket. Would that be the same thing just a different name?
There is no crank sensor on that motor and even if there was and it was bad it wouldn't make the motor run rich. Pull the codes to see hat is flagged, if that's all clear check the fuel pressure.
That was not one of the codes and fuel pressure was checked last week and it's getting good fuel. Can't remember what the reading was on it, my buddy Joe did the test. I'm still getting the 334 code which is EVP voltage too high. It's a new EVP sensor what could be causing the voltage to be too high. Voltage regulator? It's built into the alternator and I had it checked and it fine. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.
Yeah, it's dual tanks and they do both work and mileage is the same for both. Also drove it to the gas station with both tanks empty and put in 10 gallons in each tank and did the same thing.
