HIO Silver, I love the look of your grill. I want to duplicate it exactly. The part# for the Krylon satin black is 1613, what is the brand and part# for the silver paint you used??????

Thanks! I'm glad I can provide inspiration to do your own....The silver is Premium Rustoleum Metallic Silver Metallic No. 7271. The 1/4-inch tape is 3M fine line (green) from an auto body supply store.
So I plan on using this method to restore my grill.
Any thought on what to use on the push bar while I'm there? looks like the previous owner did a few repaints on it already there are some runs in it
That is if I keep the push bar, can't decide....
I ditched mine, as you see in the before/after. Actually, my bumper is bent from whatever accident it was in and my push bar was push into my grill and broke both inserts, which I fixed with JB weld.
If you want to keep it just decide how much work you want to put in them. Do you want to strip them and refinish. If it isnt rusty I would probably just sand it smooth and paint it with a rattle can. If you want more rugged you could use one of the hammered finish paints. They look ok and give it a bit of a cast iron look.
Here is my rendition of grill paint. I kinda used HioSilver's idea but instead of painting all the fins silver, I just did the inside three to make it look a little different. What do you guys think?

Looks pretty cool, Ford actually used that very same paint scheme on the '68 bumpside grilles, they had black accent paint on the vertical grille bar supports, to give the impression of 'floating' horizontal bars.
