Stage I's are in!

Oh man, these things are AWESOME! I can't believe how much more power the truck has now. I was a little worried about it not starting (took a LOT of cranking) but it has much more power, and smoke at WOT.

Question for those of you who have done injectors before...

How long does it take before all the air bubbles get worked out? It still idles a little rough after about a 25 mile drive, and has a slight miss up till 2k RPM.
Lots of power though!

LOVE IT!!!!

I got my in Falcon and drove round trip 200 miles to pick up a trailer without shutting it off and the next day it still took a while to start, I couldn't believe it. I wasn't long after that though. Question, how does a new daddy get time to put in injectors?? lol

Ya, did you squeeze that in b/w feedings and poopings??

Now you're gonna want that bigger oil when you set that darn cel at wot! I'm putting a TE modded on hopefully tomorrow, if not then it will be soon. Then I'll have a 17* stock pump for sale that I just put on my truck. I'm sure your money is tight now, I'd hang on to it for you if you'd be interested for a while otherwise I'm putting it on ebay. Let me know if you're at all interested.

I took them all out and started to rebuild them 3 days before the baby decided to come. Got 5 of them rebuilt and stripped out a bit. Waiting for the new bit to come in and the baby came. Then waited till my mother-in-law came out to visit and finished the last three and installed them.
I drove from my buddies house 5 minutes to the bank, let it run the whole time, then 10 minutes to the store, let it run there, then 15 miles back home (not driving it nice at any point).

It was idling better when I got home but still not great. Just wanted to make sure this was all normal. I'm just paranoid. lol

I'd have to have the stock 17* pump modded by TE for my truck because of the anti-drainback system on the 95's. Money is tight so don't worry about holding onto it for me. Thanks for the offer though.
I'll wait and buy a adrenaline or a modded TE pump later on...

I need to take smoke pictures and video now. Just need to find a friend willing to take them for me. My wife is busy with Mason and calls my truck the Mistress anyways so she probably won't help. haha

Were they hard to rebuild? I'm thinking about going the Stage 1 DIY route.

I found them pretty easy. The first one was a bit slow, but the others came pretty quick after I got it figured out.

It was easy after the first one. I double checked every picture and description on the first injector to make sure it was right. After that the rest were easy.
If your injectors are getting close to 200k or over 200k you might want to send them in for Jim to rebuild. Doesn't cost much more than the DIY kit if you buy the pre-machined Intensifier Pistons with it and Jim can replace any broken or faulty parts.

It is a definate seat of the pants power difference. When I bought my chip Jim told me to order it with Stage I tunes instead of stock because all the lower power tunes are basically the same and I wouldn't have to have it re-burned later on when I upgraded. So I already have Stage I tunes.

I was lucky and all my nozzles and pluger/barrel assemblies were in very good shape on mine. I know alot of them need to be replaced if they have higher miles on them. As far as I know mine have 170k on them. The worst thing on mine was I had 4 broken nozzle springs, but the kit came with new ones.
