snapped a spring today
well a helper spring so i can still drive the truck(after hammering the snot out of it to get it back into place ant tieings it off so it didnt shear my break line). the truck is a 97 (old body style) f250 hd 4x4. i think its a 3/4 ton truck. well i put 10 square of roofing shingles in it, witch clocks in at just over a ton. still have to make 1 more trip for this job. what i was wondering is how much work would it be to turn this into a 1 ton truck? would springs out of an f350 1 ton bolt right up to my shackles? or could i replace everything and still use factory bolt holes and such. dont really want to do any fab work if i dont half to because this is my daily driver. thanks in advance
