Ah super charger , im talking NA 5.0 vs NA 4.6 2V , i have had several fox body 5.0s but never a 4.6 but know a few peaple that do & there not that fast compared to a 5.0 , right now a have a little short bed truck with a mildy built 302 HO , it runs very good for a truck , it runs with alot of the 5.0 stangs & has no problems beating a 4.6 2v NA stang , im runing heads , cam , headers , i have a build sheet in my profile....Lew

That's cool. I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but the later 5.0 and the 96-98 4.6 rustangs were about the same on the strip. The '99 and up 4.6 had better heads and outperform the 5.0 by a long shot.
I don't know , the ones iv seen at the strip are not as fast as the 5.0 , i have a freind that has a 96 4.6 & i beat him with my truck when i first built the motor when i still had 3.08 gears in it , but to each his own , i like the 5.0s because there easy to build , the parts are unlimited & there as fast as your wallet....Lew
Have at it There's plenty out there.
The 5.0 is cheaper on parts if you like that aspect of it also. My next car for the strip will be a gt with a transplanted 4v or a cobra with a live axle.
I've had two different 4.6 Mustangs, one was a 2001, it ran a 14.0 quarter with 18 inch Cobra R's, flows, shifter, and some cosmetic mods. I haven't had my 08 to the track yet. I thought my 2001 was easier to work on then my truck, doing things like changing cams, it would be easier on the 5.0. But just simple things, I think the 4.6 is easier, I know both my 4.6's are so much more cleaner under the hood then my 5.0 F150. Still they are both awesome motors.
I'm sorry, but there is no way a 4.6 is easier to work on than a 5.0. I have worked on both and just don't see it at all. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the 4.6 though. Its a good motor too.
If I did that I would run 15x8 or the stock wheels with 275 60 15 tires. More of a sleeper look.
My friend had a mid 90s GMC stepside with 15x10 and 295 50 or 60 series and it did not handle good. It walked all over the road, even after the front end was completely rebuilt.
It was bad. It would grab every rut in the road and pull.
I have driven quite a few older Fords and Chevys etc with the 15x10 and 295 tires and while they didn't handle as badly has his did they did not handle very well.

That is pretty much a given with wide tires and the more street friendly the tire the worse it is. Ya want to drive a Mustang with wide tires all around on a rutted road.. setup for road racing.. talk about a white knuckle ride.
