Today my truck started vibrating real bad, seems to do it when i slow down and seems like it only does it when i down shift like when i come to a stop sign and it does it real bad when i put it in sixth gear round 60mph...dont know how to do a signature but the truck is a srw, reg cab,six speed,6637,stage2singleshot, 4inch mbrp...dont know where to start please help....
Set the e-brake, put the truck in neutral on a lvl surface and see if you can find a sloppy U joint. Pull it up and down, twist them back and forth. No matter how much you harp on them they should not have slop in the joints. The drive line is another story but not the joints. Sounds to me like your carrier bearing or a U joint.
GW99, sure sounds like u-joints to me. Just did mine. They didn't look bad til I dropped the shafts. I thought the vibration was the carrier bearing. Replaced them all, with help from our friends here at FTE and all is good.
Well i found the problem, it was not the u-joints,the driveshaft itself was loose from the t-case, one bolt was gone the others were all finger loose, got some loc-tite and tighten everything back up, thanks for pointen me in the right direction that would have been bad if all the bolts came out...thanks again
