Vac question/issue

I was poking around under the hood of my new-to-me 83 F-100 300 I6. There was a fairly loud hissing indicating an obvious vacuum leak. At first I thought it was the break booster, but then I noticed in the vac line between the booster and the manifold (I assume that's where it goes, I didn't really pay attention) there is a 'tee' in-line. One part of the 'tee' has no line hooked to it. It's just sucking air. There was something on it not too long ago (may have just been a cap for all I know) because the 'tee' is dirty, and the end of the 'tee' is clean where something was obviously attached. Anyone know what that line went to? I'm assuming I should replace, or at least cap it? It sucks pretty hard.

There should be a vacuum diagram under your hood on your radiator support; here's mine for
reference:

Yep, there is, but it's greek to me, with all the freaking acronyms. I couldn't find the brake booster in the diagram..

You probably won't, nor would you find HVAC connections. Engine running & operating controls
only. Maybe if you posted a pictures of what you DO have somebody with a 6-banger would find
it easier to help you.

Ok, I'll take a few pics in the AM. Wouldn't mind having a few extra eyes in the engine bay anyway. Thx.
