So I bought a 2009 F250 3 weeks ago, but it's May of 2010. Burned through the dealer tank of fuel regening every 75-100 miles and took it damn near to "E". Filled it up with some new fuel, added some Cetane boost, injector conditioner, etc and ran through 3 more tanks. Drained the Fuel/Water Separator on the HCMF today and got NOTHING but clean diesel!! I had a set of filters on standby, and everything. Would have taken it back to have them drop the tank if needed, and would have made them do it for free since it's an 09, and had been sitting on their lot for over a year. Regens are now about every 400 miles with a Cetane booster, so I'm definitely sold on that stuff.
I don't know if the number of horror stories about the diesels are comparable to the number of units sold, or if its like every other forum and people only come on here when theirs breaks down. I do know I'm loving this truck.
