Older 7.3 into newer v10 truck?

I found a 96 e350 parts van with a 7.3 powerstroke in it for a pretty dang cheap price. I have a 2000 v10 f350. The van is complete with everything, running. Would I have major issues getting it in my 2000? I was thinking about picking it up and sitting on it for a bit until I can decide if I really want a diesel or not. But no reason to if I can't make it work. Thanks.

Anything can be done. The 2000's did come with the 7.3 so this swap may be easier with possible stock parts available.
I know the 96's were powerstrokes but i dont know if they were the same one as the 2000.

I have a 95 powerstroke i am prepping for my 66 f-100 so i am interested in what other people say about swapping these motors

pretty sure those year 7.3's are totaly different animal to the 7.3 that came in a SD in 2000.

is that 96 even turbo charged ? seem to remember they were different some how, but its been a few years since i even looked at ford's deisels from that vintage.

'96 should be 7.3 DI powerstrokes (turbocharged)

I'm not exactly sure how similar a 96 and a 2000 would be.

The vans don't have intercoolers, because of that they have a different turbo.

Transmissions might be a problem if it's automatic, the 96 would have the E4od instead of the 4r100.
