I found an '01 crew cab srw ,8' bed with only 85,000 miles and unfortunately the dealer wants too much for it,, like 17,850 or somthing. He said that's our " no haggle" price. I give him my "no haggle" offer of 15,700 and left, lol. Looks like i keep lookin'.
Everybody, meaning dealers or used car lots sales want to cash in on that famous 7.3. Everywhere I go I hear "Is that the 7.3" or "Thats the 7.3, right". And I say, "Yes it is", lol.. Did you leave your number with him?? If it sits for a bit he might just call you in a couple weeks..
The dealer is always going to ask more but if you look at the book value for an 01 even with those miles its only around 15500. I picked up my 01 f250 with 73000 miles in PA the guy was asking 15000 with a brand new tool box in the back but I go him down to 14000 with out the box. the truck does need tires and a few odds and ends but nothing major.
Well if someone wants it bad enough they'll pay it but just think that was a lost sale. Some sales guys just can't get a clue.
Yes, this dealer is well known in the area for lack of customer friendliness, if you don't come in there with a shirt and tie on, they hardly want to talk.
