I have been chassing a brake issue for months I have a 2008 Jayco 26bh trailer weight of about 5500 lbs loaded. The brakes have been adjusted because the right side was heating up and even more so on front right axle. Replaced brake controller after I was told it was bad. Today I checked voltage at all axles. With no brakes applied voltage was 0 with brakes applied all axles exept frond right read according to voltage applied. What does this mean? If I unpluge controller all is smooth but with controller pluged in it feels like there is drag.
What controller are you using? I would call the manufacturer, whichever one it is and then can best tell you why and what to do. I know that the manufacturer of the Prodigy has been known to replace malfunctioning controllers past their warranty period.
No a set of wires go to streetside (left) front axle then across to curbside (right) front axle, then another set to streetside (left) rear axle then across to curbside (right rear axle. So I unpluged trailer from truck and pluged it back in and them got same voltage reading at all wheels. Maybe a short somewhere??
