alarm + install question
Im in the Tampa area and had a viper alarm with remote start priced up this weekend. I went to two places and they ranged from $550-$650 installed + tax. The more expensive of the two does great work though. I found the viper alarm on ebay with the 1mile radius for $250 shipped. My question is what does an install of a alarm with remote start usualy cost? it seems like it would be better to get it online and pay for an install which will probaly be a little more as im not buying it direct from from them?

i think the geek squad charges about $200 for remote start and alarm from what I gathered on their website. I just had an alarm installed at a car audio place for $325 here in Houston. I looked up the alarm on amazon.com and found it from $120-$160 shipped...so my installer was roughly on pace with the geek squad at best buy.
